For those of you who missed it, we launched the Xero Developer Growth Program practice app pilot at DevDay in Denver.

For years, the Xero Developer Growth Program has helped small business apps thrive on the Xero App Store. We’ve watched developers build, launch and scale tools that change how small businesses run.Now, we’re looking to expand our horizons to the apps built specifically for accountants and bookkeepers.

Practice apps grow differently. They need high-touch moments, direct engagement and dedicated space to showcase what they do. You asked for a program designed around those unique needs. We heard you.

What we’re building.

Over six months, we’ll explore new ways to support practice apps as they connect with advisors and accountants, testing different growth avenues to see what works best.

Who this is for.

We’re selecting approximately five practice apps for the pilot cohort. To keep standards high for our community, candidates need to meet a few key benchmarks:

• Technical readiness: Integrations in tier Plus or above, a passed security review and zero unresolved security issues.

• Market traction: Minimum 4-star Xero App Store rating, at least 5 reviews and strong potential for growth.

• Alignment: High brand alignment, active participation in social advocacy and a commitment to sharing technical insights.
