App Launcher brings a practice’s connected apps directly into the Xero Partner Hub navigation, so users can jump straight to work without leaving Xero. It’s the Partner Hub equivalent of the App Launcher already live for individual organisations.
To ensure your app is visible the day the launcher switches on, add your Partner Login URL in the Developer Portal by early September.
What’s changing on 31 August?
A new Partner Login URL field is now live in the Xero Developer Portal app configuration screen. It works just like the Login URL used for the standard App Launcher:
Add your URL and save: Your app becomes visible to practices in the Xero Partner Hub App Launcher.
Leave it blank: Your app won’t appear in the launcher, regardless of how well it works elsewhere for individual organisations.
Key dates
26 August: Partner Login URL field went live in the Developer Portal.
Early September: Partner Hub App Launcher goes live for practices. Practices will be able to open connected apps directly — no extra sign-ins or remembered bookmarks needed. (One less tab to keep open.)
Next steps
Log in to the Xero Developer Portal and open your app’s configuration.
Add your Partner Login URL, using the same pattern as your existing Login URL.
Save your changes before early September so practices can find your app on day one.
