Xero brings together developers, business advisors and Xero customers in a unique ecosystem of cloud software solutions for small businesses. Connecting great apps to a great sales channel is the core of the developer partner program.
Partnering in the ecosystem.
Xero works great for any industry, but to really show value in certain areas like retail & creative agencies, we love working with complimentary Add-on partners.
Our showcase of the developers that make the ecosystem come alive. The Add-on directory generates tens of thousands of outbound leads to our partners every month.
Thousands of accounting and bookkeeping partners are interested in finding the best apps for their clients. Connect online and through our Xerocon and roadshow events.
Xero has developed a global sales channel, with offices in the USA, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.
Wherever you are and wherever you are looking to sell, the Xero partner channel can help you make an impact in new markets. And it’s always nice to see a friendly face in a new country.
Xero Add-ons are the applications and services that integrate with Xero through the Xero API. We’re always looking for good solutions, and are happy to offer help throughout the process of becoming a certified Xero Add-on. It’s free to become a Partner.
Great! You’ve made the first step. We’ll be in touch soon.
Register your interest in the partner program and the developer relations team will be in touch to discuss further.
Check out our getting started guide for all the info you need to get started with the Xero API.
Once you’re a bit more familiar with our API we suggest you contact the Xero API team to discuss your intended integration in more detail. We can cover off any questions you have with Xero and the Xero Add-on partner programme.
We recommend you take an iterative approach and focus on getting a first version up and running with the basics as quickly as you can. If you have any questions during your development please don’t hesitate to contact the API team.
Once you’re ready with your integration, arrange a time with us to see a demo so we can make sure you have the best advice and assistance while building your integration.
Your integration will need to be tested in the real world with a range of Xero customers. We can help with finding some pilot testers if required. Depending on the complexity of your integration the pilot will need to run until we’re comfortable the solution is working well.
Your support documentation should include an overview of the integration, setup details, general usage instructions and FAQ’s. This information should be easily accessible by customers and for Xero to point customers at. Your documentation should be kept up to date.
If there are several setup steps, we recommend a few short (1-3 min) screen casts are produced to demonstrate the scope of integration and how to get up and running.
